Pre-care
Instructions:
Do not work out 24 hours before the procedure.
Avoid Certain Medications: Avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen for at least 24 hours before your procedure.
Avoid using any vitamin C pills 2 weeks before your treatment and during your healing period. Vitamin C can hinder your pigment retention, because it promotes collagen growth.
Avoid Fish oil, prenatal vitamins, nutritional shakes (Shakeology,etc) Hair, skin, nail supplements 48 hours before.
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment, as they can increase sensitivity.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Minimize sun exposure and tanning beds for at least a week before your procedure to prevent skin irritation.
Avoid hair removal: avoid waxing, tinting, plucking for 3 days to a week before the procedure
Avoid Retinols: Stop using Retin-A at least a month before the procedure. This pause aids in stabilizing your skin, thereby reducing sensitivity and ensuring superior pigment retention
Avoid Chemical peels, microdermabrasion and facials 4 weeks prior to procedure.
Patch Test: If recommended by your artist, undergo a patch test to check for any allergic reactions to the pigment.
